Biography

Victor Onuabuobi aka Voniyke is a Canadian based Gospel musician. He is a music director, voice instructor, song writer, and a music arranger. His love for music is undeniable and he has shared this passion working as a musical concert clinician and a music and art training consultant.

Brief biography and music career

Voniyke was born and raised in Nigeria and started his musical journey in the church choir at a very young age. He grew from singer to musician and expanded his resume by becoming the Music Director of the prestigious Casor Reconciliation Choir (CRC) and later on, the Music Director of the Joint Christian Campus Fellowship Choir while at the Abia State University, Nigeria.

After being a part of so many music groups, he founded the gospel singing sensation Soul Extreme under the auspices of label, Virtue Records and artiste management and promotions outfit, VonIyke Entertainment Factory.

Victor Ikenna Onuabuobi AKA VonIyke, is a gospel musician, music director, voice instructor and song writer. His love for music is undeniable and he has shared this passion working as a musical concert clinician and a music and art training consultant. He is a multi-instrumentalist and also, a music arranger. A native of Abia state (although born in Kaduna state, Nigeria), VonIyke was raised by parents, Dr & Mrs Chidoziri Onuabuobi with four siblings. He started out as a shy tenor singer in his church choir. There, he developed his desire for music playing the keyboard, drums, and the bass guitar. He obtained a BSc. degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Abia State University, Uturu, Abia State, where he was elected as the Music Director of the prestigious Casor Reconciliation Choir (CRC), and he held this position from the second semester of his first year (100Level) to the first semester of his third year (300Level). This experience gave him the ability to harness his music directorship, vocal instructorship, and concert clinician abilities, and in his fourth year (400Level), he was again elected the Music Director of all choirs in the fellowship on campus, the Joint Christian Campus Fellowship Choir. Over the years, VonIyke has been involved with several music groups which include Passions, Virtue, Tehila Crew, and a host of others. He is presently the founder and coordinator of the gospel singing sensation Soul Extreme – A music ministry that is evangelism oriented, poised at providing authentic gospel concerts and shows under the auspices of label, Virtue Records and artiste management and promotions outfit, VonIyke Entertainment Factory, both of which he is CEO. Soul Extreme delivers a revolutionized African rhythm fused with Western fills. Their vision is to spread the gospel of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to the uttermost parts of the earth, to put God’s praise on the lips of every one, young and old, to depopulate hell, and to expand the Kingdom of God.
