Olufunmi is a seasoned gospel singer. As far back as she can remember she has always been singing, and when asked describes her call as one to preach the gospel through song. Her first inspiration was her mother, Helga Banjo who was an opera singer in her single days, after marriage she continued to sing with notable choirs. Her second key influence was her music teacher in secondary school, Mrs. Amorelle Inanga who trained Olufunmi in voice and piano.
Brief biography and Musical career
Olufunmi is a seasoned gospel singer. As far back as she can remember she has always been singing, and when asked describes her call as one to preach the gospel through song. Her first inspiration was her mother, Helga Banjo who was an opera singer in her single days, after marriage she continued to sing with notable choirs. Her second key influence was her music teacher in secondary school, Mrs. Amorelle Inanga who trained Olufunmi in voice and piano.
An ordained minister, Olufunmi also preaches and teaches the Word. She is married to Oladiran Olajoyegbe and they have two teenage sons.
She and her husband have run a fellowship for performing artists since 2004, called Gig Time Fellowship. The fellowship aims to build and encourage those in the performing arts to remain true to God as they use their gifts to impact the world around them. The fellowship also holds three main gospel programs a year and both Olufunmi and her husband are very hands on during the entire production process.
Olufunmi is an avid lover of the Arts and is presently the Vice President of the Society for the performing Arts in Nigeria. The society focuses on teaching and training the performing artist to show forth excellence in their chosen field and has a vision to build a performing arts centre where the performing arts can be showcased.
Over the years she has won many awards as a singer and continues to perform both at home and abroad as a solo gospel artist. She has to date three excellent albums to her name.

Olufunmi has received many awards as a vocalist, among them are:

- Best Female Vocalist- Tudmont- University of Ife
